FAQs
Is there any place where I can see your furniture in person?
We have a small office that is furnished with our products, but we only have a limited number of items.
Do you offer fabric samples?
Yes, we have samples of our fabrics. Please send us an email with your request and address, and we will send them out to you. We do not, however, have samples of our leather, but they and all our fabrics are available for viewing at our office.
Why do I see similar products online at lower prices?
This is a question we hear often — and it’s an important one.
At Nue Modern, we understand that many online stores offer furniture that looks similar to ours at first glance, often using the same product names or images. However, while the designs may appear alike, the quality, craftsmanship, and materials are not the same.
Our furniture is built to designer specifications, using premium-grade materials and precise production standards to ensure authenticity, comfort, and longevity. Many lower-priced replicas cut corners in ways that significantly affect the final result — both in appearance and durability.
Here are some key differences that set Nue Modern apart:
Stainless Steel: We use real #304 stainless steel tubing and bar stock, not chrome-plated tubing or low-grade flat stock.
Leather: Our pieces are upholstered in top-grain Italian leather, rather than low-grade or split leathers.
Fabrics: Our textiles are European-made, carefully sourced for quality, texture, and colour consistency — unlike cheaper wool blends.
If you come across a product that looks like ours, even if it shares the same design name, rest assured — it is not a Nue Modern product.
We do not sell through third-party marketplaces; our pieces are available exclusively on our website.
Who makes your products and where are your products made?
This is perhaps our most popular question. The majority of our products are made at our overseas factory in China. Working directly with this factory under an exclusive agreement, we send them leather, fabric and other components so they make our products to our specifications. As much as possible, we control all aspects of production —from the creation of the frames to sewing to shipping to the UK, final inspection in London, and then shipping to you, the customer. This business model allows us to customise the upholstery on any item, as well as the wood and metal finishes, at a competitive price.
